EVENT PLANNING & PHOTO EXPERIENCES
Photo Activations for LA Convention Center Events
Turn your exhibit concept into a photo experience that fits your space, show schedule and visitor journey.

Begin with the exhibitor manual and floor plan
A photo activation needs to fit the booth you have booked, not just the campaign you imagine. Send the approved exhibit dimensions, neighboring aisle locations, permitted structures and event operating hours before choosing a format. Reserve space for the experience itself, guest waiting and any print or artwork collection.
The Los Angeles Convention Center’s event resources include planning information and direct organizers to their Event Manager for coordination. Exhibitors should also use their show’s own service manual and organizer contacts. Confirm which party approves the activation and places any required service orders.
Choose an interaction that supports the conversation
AI trading cards and DoodleBots
AI trading cards can turn a campaign role or visual world into a guest keepsake. Keep the concept understandable in a short explanation and avoid asking visitors to enter unnecessary personal information. DoodleBots add a visible portrait-drawing process that can draw curiosity; give visitors clear instructions for collection so completed drawings do not block the capture position.
Mosaics and video experiences
A photo mosaic can build a shared image over the exhibition. Decide whether it is a single-day reveal or a multi-day progression before planning contributions. GlamBot may suit a larger, production-led exhibit when the approved footprint accommodates the robotic operating zone, lighting and visitor circulation.
Design the queue before opening day
Mark where people enter, receive instructions, participate and leave. Keep the queue within the area authorized by the show and venue; do not assume an aisle can absorb overflow. Separate a sales conversation from the capture station when one would hold up the other.
Tell the operator when traffic is likely to peak, including scheduled breaks or a product announcement. Discuss a practical approach for busy periods and set realistic participation expectations for the selected format. Avoid using an unsupported per-hour promise as the foundation of the exhibit plan.
Order production services with clear ownership
Confirm power, connectivity, delivery and access needs against the event’s current rules. List who orders each service and the relevant deadline. A venue’s general capabilities do not establish what is included with your particular exhibit package.
Provide the move-in schedule, shipment or handling instructions, exhibitor access requirements and daily opening times. If equipment stays overnight, settle storage and security arrangements. If the activation changes creative content between show days, identify who approves and supplies that material.
Separate guest delivery from lead consent
A person requesting their photograph has not necessarily agreed to every marketing use. Plan the delivery experience and any optional lead capture clearly with your team. Decide which information is necessary, who receives it and how the on-site explanation will work.
Agree on useful reporting before the event. Completed captures, delivered assets and conversations may each answer different questions. Do not describe every participant as a qualified lead without an agreed qualification process.
Request an exhibit-specific proposal
Send the show name, dates, booth number and size, operating hours, audience, desired takeaway and creative brief. Include any exhibitor restrictions and the approval contact. See our trade show and convention experiences for the broader service selection.
